Treating Different Orthopedic Conditions
Orthopedic physical therapy specifically focuses on the treatment of the bones, muscles, and ligaments. This includes, but is not limited to, post-surgical rehabilitation, sprains/strains, sport or fall injuries, tendinitis, chronic pain, etc.
Orthopedic treatment focuses on improving range of motion, strength, posture, and overall movement. After an evaluation, a treatment plan is developed to determine the most appropriate exercises to maximize recovery. These types of exercises may include passive range of motion, where your physical therapist moves your body to improve mobility. This may also include strengthening exercises using resistance bands, weights, or your own body weight.
